There are approximately 140 homes on the Wirral Estate, ranging from large houses to farmhouses and smaller homes of two to four bedrooms.
Estate properties are maintained to a high standard: there is a five-yearly painting programme and safety checks are routinely undertaken, and properties are regularly refurbished to the Estate’s own specification.
The majority of the properties are let privately. The Estate also lets cottages tied to farms; others are occupied by ex-employees and their dependants at affordable rents. The Estate occasionally sells property.
